This family needed a new kitchen that encouraged time together in the space white preparing meals. Entero Design and Mighty House Construction worked within the existing footprint to design a space that fit the client's needs. The kitchen was outfitted with a variety of sustainable finishes and materials.
We retrofit our home to reduce carbon footprint, find alternatives to carbon sourced fuels for home/transportation, and promote water conservation/reuse. We have been Net Positive for six years, and continue to reduce our energy demand with battery storage system complementing our solar system.

This 1908 Seattle arts and crafts house is a tour favorite! It has been remodeled to conserve and produce energy with the ultimate goal of net zero. It was certified as a Net Zero Building in 2016 by the Living Building Challenge, the first remodeled home in Seattle to do so.

The Bowman Family showcases energy efficiency with a solar array on the roof (installed by South Sound Solar) and a ductless heat system. In addition, the family grows their own food and raises chickens which provide fresh eggs and fertilizer for the garden.
This Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit was awarded a slot in the City of Tacoma's Urban Infill Pilot Program with its small footprint, healthy and accessible design by Brett Marlo Design Build. Key features include a Diamond Pier foundation system. Site is midway through construction!
