When is the tour?
The 2017 tour will be offered on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, from 11am to 5pm each day.
How do I get around to the different tour sites?
The tour is self-guided. Start and end at any of the Sites. Many tour goers enjoy biking or walking between the sites, and carpooling is strongly encouraged.
Are children allowed?
Absolutely! Just please be mindful of other tour goers, and the home. Please park strollers outside.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no pets are allowed.
What is involved with the check-in?
Please get your ticket here and print them out. At the first home you visit, we will collect your ticket and give you a wristband. You will then be able to just stroll on in to the rest of the sites that you visit. Your tour wristband will also entitle you to free items and discounts at some Sustainability Stops (local businesses and organizations that support the tour and offer further opportunities for learning about green building).
How do I know where to find each site?
You have many choices to get this information!
- You can explore the sites on this website here
- You can pick up the late April edition of the Seattle Weekly
- You can download and print the official tour guide (available in mid April)
Will I have to take my shoes off?
In order to protect the site, we will ask you to either slip off your shoes, or wear shoe covers. It helps to wear shoes that are easy to remove.
Are the sites wheelchair accessible?
Some are, but most are not. To see pictures of the sites, which might give you a better idea, you can visit All Sites
What is parking like?
The parking situation differs from site to site. Since most of the sites are in residential neighborhoods, most will have free street parking available. If you are worried about parking and locations, we recommend you check out the map for location information.
